Dear colleagues,

In the current newsletter we would like to present to you

  • the conclusions and documentation of the International Peer Review Conference
  • a video on Peer Review
  • the European Peer Review Reader, and
  • the Peer Review Manual for Guidance in Adult Education.

International Peer Review Conference

The International Peer Review Conference took place on September 28-29, 2009 in Lisbon, Portugal.

The conference aimed to share good practice from the Leonardo da Vinci project "Peer Review Extended II”, to facilitate exchange and to support the development of a joint vision and plan for future European Peer Review activities.

About 70 participants from 13 European countries attended the Conference.

The conference conclusions and documentation is available here.

Peer Review Video

What is Peer Review?

A video giving an introduction to the European Peer Review has been produced by two students from the Hertha Firnberg Schools in Vienna, Maria Posch and Ying Zhang.

European Peer Review Reader

A reader has been published which presents all activities and aspects of the European Peer Review experience 2004-2009. Past experiences of the Peer Review projects are reflected, the impact on VET providers and national systems is considered, and current and future implementation is outlined. Partners from all three projects have contributed their experiences, reflections, and future plans.

The European Peer Review Reader is available online and in print.

Peer Review Manual for Guidance in Adult Education

In the LdV project "Peer Review Extended II", the European Peer Review procedure has been adapted by the Slovenian Institute for Adult Education (SIAE) for use in guidance in adult education, and laid down in a separate manual.

The Peer Review Manual for Guidance in Adult Education is available in English and Slovenian.
